By the beginning of the spring, we Persians celebrate the
perdition of the Old Witchthe mother to the coldand
the birth of the Maiden of Blessings and Mirth. Our
new year starts with this joyful moment. We call it Nowruz (pronounced “no-rooz”), meaning ‘the new day’.
I
would like to take this opportunity and wish you all a prosperous
new year, filled with the fulfillment of your wishes, joy,
and peace in the world. |
